Terms & Conditions

SPORTS MASSAGE THERAPY 

CONFIDENTIALITY: During your initial consultation you will be asked to provide some personal details including name, address, occupation and medical information to ensure that any treatments given are safe and appropriate for you. All client information and clinical records will be safeguarded by ANDREA CAGE SPORTS MASSAGE THERAPY (ACSMT) and will remain confidential. Unless required to do so by law, ACSMT will not otherwise share, sell or distribute any of the information you provide without your consent. These details will not be shared with any third parties. Consultations and client treatment details will not be discussed with anyone other than the client, unless the client is under the age of 18 or has a care worker or guardian. ACSMT may need to discuss medical issues with your GP if any clearance or further information is needed in order to continue with treatment. This will only be done with client consent and all information received will be shared with the client only.

HEALTH AND SAFTEY: Due to the nature of massage and the need for close contact, ANDREA CAGE SPORTS MASSAGE THERAPY will maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and clients are asked to ensure that they also maintain a high standard of personal hygiene. Treatment can be refused if any client fails to do so.

It is normal for clients to feel some muscle soreness, aching and bruising as a result of deep manipulative therapy to the soft tissues (skin, muscles, tendons and ligaments) and this will pass as part of the recovery process.

LIABILITY:

 

ANDREA CAGE SPORTS MASSAGE THERAPY will not be liable for any financial loss or loss of personal possessions, as a result of, or in connection with the provision of services to you. ACSMT will not be liable for any damage that may be caused as a result of your failure to disclose medical details that may, for example, make treatment inappropriate or unsafe. It is vital that you supply ACSMT with correct information about yourself and inform ACSMT of any changes that occur immediately.

 

ACSMT will not be liable for any muscle soreness, bruising and discolouration of the skin, following a sports massage treatment.

 

ACSMT excludes all liability for any action you take, loss or injury you may suffer (direct or indirect including loss of pay, profit, opportunity or time, pain and suffering, any indirect, consequential or special loss, however arising) as a result of relying on any information provided through any service supplied by ACSMT to you. You, your legal representatives and your heirs' release, waive, discharge and covenant, not to sue ACSMT for any injury or death caused by negligence or other acts.

CANCELLATION POLICY: ANDREA CAGE SPORTS MASSAGE THERAPY requires a minimum of 24 hours notice to cancel an appointment. Failure to cancel or attend an appointment with less than 24 hours notice will incur the charge for the full appointment. It is important that our agreed appointment time and duration is adhered to. For any appointments which you, the client, are running late or need to leave early during treatment, any missed time will not be added to subsequent appointments.

If you experience symptoms of Covid-19 or have knowingly come into contact with someone with Covid-19 symptoms, or has been tested positive with Covid-19 within two weeks prior to your appointment, you must cancel your appointment with immediate effect and the cancellation fee will be waived.

PAYMENTS: Payments for treatments must be paid in advance and can be made via Bank Transfer. You will receive an invoice via email from ACSMT once your booking has been made, details will be included on the invoice to complete payment. Payment must be paid no later 24 hours before your appointment. Failure to make payment will result in your appointment being cancelled. Your appointment will be confirmed via email once full payment has been received.
